Initially doubtful of his win, he confirmed it with his wife and later learned the jackpot had reached $4,303,499. The game, available through the Virginia Lottery app, offers growing jackpots and has odds of 1 in 3.74 for winning any prize.

  • Principal Michael Bishop’s Tenure at Patriot High School Under Scrutiny

    Patriot High School Principal Michael Bishop was placed on involuntary leave earlier this month. While the school division has not disclosed the reason, scrutiny has turned to controversies during his tenure and legal issues involving his son, who pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual battery in 2024. Additionally, a hazing incident at the school and ongoing public feuds with a former School Board chair have further complicated Bishop’s leadership. The school has appointed an acting principal during his absence.
