  • June 17 Primary Nears as Prince William Adds New Voting Locations

    Prince William County opened five additional early voting sites on June 7 to accommodate voters ahead of the June 17 primary election. While Democratic primaries include races for lieutenant governor and attorney general, Republicans are holding a primary in House District 21. Early voting runs through June 14 at six locations countywide. Voters can also vote on election day or utilize same-day registration with provisional ballots. (Patch)

  • Prince William Enhances Waste Disposal Access with New 7-Day Facility Hours

    Beginning January 3, 2026, Prince William County’s Landfill and Compost Facility will operate seven days a week, including Sundays. The expanded hours aim to offer residents more flexibility and improve access to waste disposal services. The update, part of the FY2026 Budget, includes changes to staffing and route planning ahead of the launch. (PWC)

    Prince William County is promoting outdoor recreation as part of Great Outdoors Month, highlighting its extensive park system. Visitors are encouraged to hike local trails, enjoy water activities at Lake Ridge Park & Marina, fish in designated park locations, and explore various playgrounds. The RecMapper app is available to help plan visits. Additionally, court resurfacing is underway at Ben Lomond Regional Park. (PWC)
