AARP will provide free tax help at Bull Run and Chinn Park Libraries from February to April. Walk-in service is available at Bull Run, while Chinn Park requires an appointment.   • Step-by-Step Guide to Enrolling in Prince William County Public Schools

    Prince William County Public Schools has outlined its student registration process for new families. Parents should first determine their child’s zoned school, gather required documents, complete online registration, and then schedule an appointment with the school registrar. Required documents include a certified birth certificate, proof of residency, health records, and immunization documentation. Additional assistance is available for non-traditional enrollees, language assessments, and families in special circumstances. (PWCS)

  • 147-Foot Cell Tower Plan at Woodbridge School Moves Forward

    A 147-foot cell tower is proposed for Rippon Middle School in Woodbridge to enhance wireless service. The Prince William Board of County Supervisors will review the plan on February 4. Verizon would be the first carrier to use the tower, which aims to improve connectivity for students, staff, and local residents. The project site is located between a baseball field and a track, with nearby homes buffered by existing landscaping. Milestone Communications, the applicant, has previously built cell towers at other schools in the area. The Planning Commission has already given its approval. (Patch)
