Issue #25-010

In this Go Prince William County, Va Issue…

Snow continues to be the major theme for the week. Looks like the forecast is still holding for another 1-3 inches overnight into Saturday…hopefully by now the urge to run to the store immediately for bread has been dulled a bit 😀

The full run down of events and nightlife is below, if we do get snow the best advice is always to check with venue or organizer to make sure they are a go. We’ll share to FB and IG any cancellations we come across.

Sunny and 40’s for Sunday and Monday…can’t wait for a little change of pace!!!!

Snow or not, make sure to tag us on Instagram to get your photo featured in a future edition!

Quick Bites

  • Rezoning Fallout: Landowners Lose Tax Dispute Over Digital Gateway Project

A judge ruled against Prince William County landowners disputing higher tax bills resulting from the rezoning of over 1,700 acres for the Prince William Digital Gateway project. The rezoning increased the land’s value, raising taxes despite ongoing legal challenges delaying property sales. The court upheld the county’s position, stating that Virginia law requires taxation based on current zoning. Landowners may appeal the decision and continue to contest their property assessments. • Manassas Company to Support Third Presidential Inauguration

Scaffolding Solutions, now based in Manassas, will provide scaffolding for its third presidential inauguration, including the upcoming swearing-in of Donald Trump on Jan. 20. Previously involved in the 2021 and 2017 inaugurations, the company also supports the U.S. Treasury and local restoration projects. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new Manassas facility is set for Jan. 16. (Patch)

  • Prince William County Prepares for Future Snow Disruptions with New Bus Routes

Prince William County schools are creating snow emergency bus routes to handle future weather disruptions. Hazardous road conditions have caused school closures for four days, affecting many bus routes. While VDOT works on improving the roads, officials urge the community to clear sidewalks and walkways. More details about the emergency routes will be provided later. (Inside NoVa)
