  • New Gainesville Thrift Store Funds Housing Support for Local Families

StrongHer Generation, a new thrift store in Gainesville, has opened its doors with a dual purpose: to offer affordable secondhand goods and to provide a sustainable source of funding for the Virginia Women and Family Support Center’s housing programs. Created in response to recent financial challenges, the store is designed to help ensure continued support for women and children in need of safe, stable housing. Open six days a week, StrongHer Generation accepts a wide range of donations including clothing, furniture, household items, and more. Proceeds from every sale go directly toward helping families find long-term stability, making every purchase and donation an opportunity for the community to take part in ending homelessness and uplifting those on the path to a brighter future.
