In this Go Prince William County, Va Issue… the county is done asking nicely about unpaid parking tickets, state regulators just told Dominion to send more of the power-line bill to the data centers, and a new two-artist show opens at the ARTfactory. Downstairs: a soggy but very full weekend — Fridays at 5, Bug and Bird Day at Rippon Lodge, two farmers markets, and 35 nightlife listings from Gainesville to Occoquan.

Quick Bites

  • Three Unpaid Tickets and You Get Towed

Starting Oct. 1, Prince William County police will tow vehicles carrying three or more unpaid parking citations, under existing state law and county ordinance. Police say the county fielded more than 3,500 parking and abandoned-vehicle complaints in 2025 and issued more than 18,700 citations — and that upwards of 3,000 vehicles on county roads currently have three or more tickets outstanding. The department says the point is voluntary compliance, not towing, so the window to settle up is open now. (InsideNova)

  • Regulators Push Power-Line Costs Onto Data Centers

The State Corporation Commission has ordered Dominion Energy to develop a policy assigning the cost of transmission infrastructure directly to data centers and other large-load customers that connect to it. Dominion argued in its “rider T1” rate case that data centers should shoulder more of the cost of power infrastructure built only to serve their facilities. In a rare move, Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s administration weighed in on the case. (PW Times)

  • ‘Beyond the Frame’ Opens at the ARTfactory

The ARTfactory and The Black Art Today Foundation are showing “Beyond the Frame,” a dual exhibition by Levi Robinson and Dion J. Pollard, running through Sept. 19 on Battle Street in Manassas. Organizers describe it as an exploration of Black identity, cultural memory and resilience, built from textured surfaces, layered symbolism and portraiture. Robinson’s mixed-media work draws on jazz improvisation and hip-hop sampling. Free to walk through this weekend. (InsideNova)
